Shh... Let's flea!

I wanna do a flea. (again).  (*scrunched up brows, deep determined eyes, serious face

I'm THINKING of renting a flea market stall to sell my beautiful pre-loved goodies that i have no time to enjoy/ play with/ destroy? :P

Wait, wait! Please dun get the wrong idea. They are my babies, my treasures, my non-living-pets. I want to find good homes and caring owners for them. I kept them all these while thinking that i can slowly enjoy/ play with/ destroy? :P them. But i have to admit that i was wrong. There are only that many days in a week, and that many months in a year, i realised there is not enough time to rotate these items. I hate to see them so neglected :(:(:(

SO PUTTING TOTS INTO ACTION >

Google: flea markets singapore february 2013

Yes, I am an impatient person.   >>>>   IF I WANT IT, I WANT IT NOW! HAHAHAHA (are u like that too? haha)

Whispering: actually i have booked a 30 March 2013 Saturday flea market stall with WHAT THE FLEA at LOT 1 Shopper's Mall (choa chu kang, singapore). But now i find that date too long a wait (2.5 months). i wanna do one sooner. Hence the search. http://www.whattheflea.net/

OH DEAR....... SAME DATES, DIFFERENT FLEA MARKETS..... WHICH TO CHOOSE???? (DIFFERENT RENT PRICES ALSO (>_<!)

Trader's Market at Clark Quay organised by For Flea Sake, http://www.forfleasake.com/traders-market-february/

Dilemma: Okay, this one is on the dates that i want i.e. next week (i want asap) haha *impatient. But it's rent is very expensive and it's quite far away from my home. $120 for 1 day, $200 for 2 days.

Alternative...

organised by Public Garden, http://www.public-garden.com/index.php

Costs S$60 per day hehheh still ex but cheaper and location nearer than the above. OKAY, This one it is!!!!!!

From a crumpled cloth sitting on my couch

Nah, have a good look at its retro pattern

Progress of Dressmaking Course

I can't rem how long it's been since I've started the Dressmaking Intermediate Level.
Yesterday I've finally finished copying all the 33 or 34 pages of diagrams.
Thank goodness! It's been some time alr.

Laoshi says that I can either make a pair of pants or a jacket nxt! Woohoo
This gives me the intermediate-feeling. Taking my dressmaking skills to the next level.

XC knows that the Jacket and the Pants are my muses. So it's really hard to choose between the two.
Hmm jacket is tempting, but I've decided to stick to my original plans of making pants.
So I wouldn't be seeing My Jacket until about 2 months later. Which is about how long it's gonna take to make a 1st pants.

Serene's Primary 6 Graduation Party Dress

The Process
At first, I had no idea wad to do..
But I had to start somewhere.
So I asked her, if she wanted a skirt, a dress or wad?
1st she said skirt, then she said shorts but I can't sew pants yet.
In the end we settled for a dress.

Still not knowing wad to do next.
But I had to do something.. anything coz then I only had barely a 7 days to design, draft the pattern and sew the entire dress from scratch.
So I asked her what's her fav colour.
She pointed to a dress she already has (which is our back up plan btw, in case I couldn't finish the dress in time), saying she likes pink, dark pink, not light pink. Absolutely hates light pink.

There! I have it.
An all-pink dress it is.

Next, I went down to buy fabrics.
I went to every shop asking for pink fabrics.
Then did I know her fav color is actually called Fuchsia.
My friends who went along with me, one after another asked me,
"So you know wad design you want for the dress already?"
"You have a design in mind?"
I gave them all a quick "No?"
Then continued digging for Fuchsia fabrics.
Alas, I bought a cotton bland Fuchsia and a chiffon Fuchsia.
Little by little during the fabric hunting process, the look of the dress is in my head already.
Designing, done.

Next, you can see for yourself.. wad I went thro..

The End Product. Taa-Daa!!

Jay Chou's NEW Album 《魔杰座》

I've been sick for the past 3weeks.
Battling 1st stomach flu and then almost immediately came sore throat, running nose and cough.
But there is a biggy I had to do no matter what.

No. 1 was to go out and buy Jay Chou's NEW Album 《魔杰座》.
I could have easily downloaded the whole album for free on the internet.
However, as a true blue Jay Chou fan, NO WAY!
I waited and waited and waited until I bought the CD with cold hard cash.
